This is who anti-safe streets, anti-bike, and anti-congestion pricing advocates are. Fat-shaming cyclists for no reason, probably to feel better about themselves. Besides, all bodies can exercise. Wanting safe bike infrastructure has nothing to do with how much you weigh.

NYC buses being free would speed up routes, make more use them and result in less conflict and more safety for bus drivers and help those who live in places with no subways nearby . I hope this becomes a major talking point for all candidates.

I don’t really do endorsements. I’m not shy about sharing my views, but I hate politics and don’t trust most politicians. I also understand that people want to hear from me because I am not just a celebrity, I am a former Republican Governor. My time as Governor taught me to

Just weeks before Governor Kathy Hochul clamped Congestion Pricing and defunded the MTA, Gersh Kuntzman & Clarence Eckerson Jr. visited Stockholm to talk about how their implementation there has produced a city far better for every mode. Streetsblog New York TO WATCH: youtube.com/watch?v=tpzxPu…

Let's be clear: The horrors that await are unknown and there's much out of our control. But there is one thing we can do now is protect New York City's future -- and if we don't act now, we will lose the chance. Governor Kathy Hochul, this needs to happen today.

One of our favorite neighborhood joints went from outdoor dining and sales-tax generation into free storage for private cars for two freeloaders, uglifying the streetscape. Thanks, Mayor Eric Adams.

If you're feeling down in NYC today a recommendation: go out for a #bikenyc ride solo (or with friends). I went for 25 miles today and took in what a great city we have with great people. No matter who is president, governor or mayor no one can take away your freedom to ride.

LOOK! Just what New Yorkers need: A pol who panders to the 1% driving to work in Manhattan when 4x as many of your new constituents ride the rails. What are you going to do about the cost of living for LIRR riders in your district, who pay some of the nation's highest fares?

We had to drive today up to Goshen in the Hudson Valley for my friend’s wake. There were brush fires everywhere 🔥 🔥. Be careful!

All the news isn't grim. In 2023 I got to bike with this wonderful group of people on San Francisco's Great Highway. It was one of the best times I've ever had riding. On election day voters passed Proposition K there, so it will now be permanent! Streetsblog SF Luke Bornheimer

4600 #bikenyc miles on the Tern Bicycles, I couldn’t do my job at Streetfilms (Now 1,110 films!) the last 2+ years due to my torn meniscus without it. Of course my building decided to ban e-bikes and we’re going to fight it all the way. Got lots of resources.

Best line at congestion pricing presser was Dep Mayor Joshi, who: “compared the tolls to ending smoking in bars — a proposal from former Mayor Mike Bloomberg that was initially met with derision. ‘We once questioned this big culture change..now we celebrate it.’” Nick Reisman

The support for lifting parking mandates *citywide* is incredibly strong. Almost 60 organizations have signed onto this letter asking the City Council to pass City of Yes and not water down parking reform. We must lift parking mandates citywide.

The Gridlock Governor argued $15 toll is too high for drivers, so she gave them a 40-percent discount. And Long Island Rail Road and Metro-North customers? No such discount — those suckers are still paying roughly $15 per day in fares. nyc.streetsblog.org/2024/11/14/con…
