daughter had a sleepover last night and my wife set up a spa for them and served them sparkling apple cider in champagne flutes and my daughter keeps asking for more of that “sizzling apple juice”

A sincere thanks to Susurrus for nominating my poem “Only the Cow Knew” for the Best of the Net! Since its inception, Susurrus quickly became one of my favorite journals, particularly because of its focus on the American South. I’m so thrilled! Congratulations to all! 🌻❤️✨

I don’t know what the future holds, but I know there will be poems in it! I don’t know what the future holds, but I know it will be held together by poetry.

Reminder that my forthcoming SundressPublications craft book on unlearning the ableist writing workshop to develop a disabled writing practice is full of all sorts of useful advice for disabled, chronically ill, and neurodivergent writers to thrive despite terrible takes like this one.

My own dog Malachi is missing from the Pendleton Adventure Trails Recreation Area in Pendleton, Oregon. He was running with my husband then went over a hill and disappeared. He might have jumped in a car with someone who thought he was lost 😭 Please RT #dogs

our annual awards announcement: it really feels like everything we publish is a "best of the net," so we skip announcing noms. if you had something on HAD between July 1, 2023 and June 30, 2024 please consider yourself as having been nominated. Congrats!!

This world needs more witches. This world needs excoriating reprisals that write with an eye on the misogynist’s pyres rather than their prizes.
