Fantastic to join the Undisciplinary (undisciplinary.bsky.social) podcast to talk about my continuing fascination with the story of horseshoe crabs, a story that showcases public health's entanglements with strange animals, & questions whether we can, could, or should care about these entanglements?

This is the man Israel burned alive last night. His name was Sha'ban. British media read aloud the names of 4 Israel soldiers killed by Hezbollah, but they won't even give Sha'ban the dignity of a name, let alone tell us who murdered him.

CNN prefaces the article with a warning: "Editor’s note: This story includes details about suicide that some readers may find upsetting." You the reader are expected to find the trauma of the soldier who said he killed 100s of Palestinians more upsetting than his actual murders.

not the first or last to say it, but if i run over human beings with a bulldozer, the sight of their mangled bodies is not something I witnessed, it is something I DID

CNN wants you to feel pity for the guys running over people but not the people themselves… "I ran over living human beings with a bulldozer and now I'm traumatized" 😢

I really enjoyed my conversation with Jane Williams and Christopher Mayes , where amongst other things, we talked about justice and solidarity in global health. I hope it may be of interest to others. Thanks for the great conversation!

For those interested in the importance of accessible information in health care, and broader questions of epistemic justice, this looks like it will be both fascinating and important. Looking forward to seeing the report!
