Blood factors study in ME/CFS. We had the recent great fortune for Sheeza to spend 6 months bringing her 3D skeletal muscle models to Oxford. Some great work coming out of the Barcelona group. Watch this space! journals.biologists.com/dmm/article/17…

This is nice article from Trish Greenhalgh. In addition to stressing the need to prevent future infections it gives a good summary of the key problem areas in LC which need to be explored for developing treatments. For this we need significant funding. independentsage.substack.com/p/long-covid-a…

A system that could be studied in more detail with our new Raman microscope. Do these rats get fatigued? journals.asm.org/doi/10.1128/jv…

We are still looking for clues re the biology. These studies on a small scale would help. A transient change in symptoms linked to a biomarker change would be useful. We don't know enough to go after new therapeutic targets yet. Pharma won't come in until we do.

We need a patient survey re what helps. LDN, cold water swimming, digoxin, antibiotics, a ketogenic diet, no food until lunch time, high volumes of salt water, is PEM muscle or cognitive etc. These could be really useful stratifers. Perhaps a patients forum could collect the info

Autonomic sub-grouping of patients looks informative and appears to link to severity. Sadly we don't have the kit to do this, but it would be on our list for a well funded clinical project. mdpi.com/2077-0383/9/8/…

Cryotherapy is the one thing the Polish guys have tried that appears to change things in ME/CFS. Transient effects. Quantum medicine is coming theguyfoundation.org. Review on cryotherapy pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33627288/. Can try and put on here if interest.

More on the quantum space. Cognito Therapeutics (cognitotx.com) . I did ask the CEO if interested in looking at ME/CFS. To focused on AD at the moment. Unrefreshing sleep linked to lack of brain washing might be important. science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…

Exciting, Human Frontiers in Science Programme proposal just about to go in. hfsp.org. 4 great groups with different specialities, big budget programme. "Alien organelles: the strange relationship between bacterial L-forms and mammalian cells"
