The UK’s resilience relies on us treating shared risks collectively.  Coal tip safety is a risk we can only solve collectively.  I have pressed this case directly with Michael Gove recently and will fight for the settlement Valleys communities deserve. theguardian.com/uk-news/2023/d…

That’s the crux of the Welsh elite domestic rugby debacle.

The real reason for what went wrong in Welsh rugby - See my final blog on Dec 29th 2023. "The Great Welsh Rugby Regional Lie" is the title and clue to what went wrong.

1. The underlying core problem is the chronic shortage of home fans, because of the crazy structure created under our botched 2003 resource concentration…? 2. The absence of away fans just compounds the problem and highlights the chronic shortage of home fans…?

Lack of knowledge on this is astounding. The National Coal Board initially owned by the UK gov. were responsible for creating tips, therefore the UK gov. should pay to remove them. It’s that simple. bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-…

Here we go again - Let's sack the coach when the structure is the problem. A new coach can't sort the unviable non inclusive structure - Only WRU can do this.

Owen Robins (@owenins) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Fake News Note: I read his comments and his support for the current structure - I can 100% confirm he does not say what the real reason for the problems are = the non inclusive structure of pretend regions (Where Valleys & North Wales excluded)

Apologies Robert Rees & others who have enquired regards the Towy Valley Derby attendance figure. Phil Fags & Roger have just finished counting the ticket stumps, the raffle a sell out, Derek's 📸 of the match testiment to bumper derby crowd. Final count without Juniors +🐕 1600

The ‘good old days’ did exist - but it was the amateur era when the game was for the pure enjoyment of its players first and foremost. Any attempt at comparison is at best futile, and at worst divisive. I consider myself blessed to have lived through both eras. 🙏🏉

A 3 team model, with one "on lesser funding" (i.e. 2+1), makes perfect sense given the accelerating "doom loop" decline over many years and financial landscape, but the concern with the WRU is what identities they will come up with in lieu of what they should competently do...?

We need Unity & Affinity in Welsh rugby. We need Valleys to support structure. This is how - See my blog owenins.wordpress.com/2017/05/18/wru…
