Today I ran my first TCS London Marathon. It was an amazing experience and I completed the marathon in 3hrs 57mins. Thank you so much to everyone who has sponsored me. Now for a well earned burger.


Big congratulations to one of our Locum trauma and orthopaedic consultant’s, Pouya Akhbari BSC, MBBS, MSc, FRCS, MD for completing the TCS London Marathon , fundraising for our charity! Honoured to have represented BHRUT NHS 🏥 & presented our important work on the relationship between the radial neck shaft angle, lateral epicondylitis and lateral collateral ligament degeneration at the recent ESSKA conference in Milan, Italy.


Really enjoying attending the Mayo Clinic “Teaching the Teachers” course on the Stiff Elbow. Great talks and live surgery by Sean O’Driscoll, Mark Morrey, Joaquin Sanchez Sotelo and Prof. Roger van Riet . High quality sessions with very intersting discussions.



Really enjoyed the last day of the Mayo Clinic Teach the Teachers Stiff Elbow course, consisting of cadaveric workshops focusing on elbow arthroscopy skills and various approaches to the elbow.


It was a pleasure to meet Steven Drew, the president of British Elbow & Shoulder Society in Aberdeen.


Using the Da Vinci Bridge to demonstrate a construction that is stable in compression and is similar to the technique used to fix and stabilise a distal humerus fracture British Elbow & Shoulder Society.




It was great to be part of the Trauma & Extremities 201 course helping to prepare their new cohort of reps #stryker #sportssurgery #arthroscopy #sportsmedicine


We were delighted to welcome MPs Andrew Rosindell MP 🇬🇧🏴 and Marc Francois to Queen’s Hospital. They visited our stroke unit and interventional neuroradiology to chat to staff and hear about the improvements we have made.
