Christmas 🎄 came early! PennDOT has delivered two subway alternatives that will transform Philadelphia for the better and create thousands of union jobs. This is the best gift we could ask for—Happy Holidays! Let’s build the Roosevelt Boulevard Subway!

Just about everywhere but the US, future-oriented cities are making huge investments in electric regional rail systems, which connect suburbs and exurbs directly to the city center. Here’s a list of recent & underway projects—we need more projects like these in the US! 🧵

Violent drivers kill over 7,000 pedestrians a year, over 20 per day, every day of the year. Why is it that some folks only care about the 10 or 15 pedestrian deaths that happen on the one day a year when they personally think they might have been a dead pedestrian?

Seems like there is alot of demand for this based on the replies. Maybe the MTA Gift Shop should partner with an NYC startup to design/sell these? With the right product support and marketing, these would be super popular. Most ppl don't seem to even know where to get them rn.

8 million people live in NYC & 65 million more visit every year – cars can never serve as the primary means of getting around a city as big & bustling as ours. Congestion pricing will allow us to build the robust, safe, and efficient public transit we need. Today is a victory.

I want to love The Free Press and 90% of the time I do, but then I get something painfully brain dead in my inbox like this. Glad I'm not paying. Do better guys. Read at your own risk. The Free Press thefp.com/p/tgif-hellfire

The 80-year project to make this country completely car-dependent is complete, and now that you're trapped, you need to spend an average of $737 a month for your own economic and social mobility.

The reason the southeast doesn't have an amazing rail system like this is due to DEI. It's time for the Trump administration to own the libs and fix this.

A “Drive thru” only Chick fila in the GA wasteland. It’s downright dystopian. wsj.com/business/hospi…

something been nagging at me and I wanna cause a fuss, so here goes. Liberals/Democrats & broader left, especially but not only those involved in climate, need to be called out for over a decade of covering for Elon Musk. Elon only got rich because of “progressive” EV subsidies

In my opinion, more than 75% of every urban planning, architecture, and landscape architecture program today should focus on “SPRAWL REPAIR”. The work is endless. And virtually nobody is teaching it.

Elon Musk Judicial review does not mean judges “run the country” it means presidents must govern within legal and constitutional boundaries. If any president could act without legal limits, we wouldn’t have democracy we’d have dictatorship.

Brenda (@brenmco) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Elon Musk That is literally the essence of democracy. Our government has three co-equal branches and the Court can and must be a check on the executive branch when it violates the law, especially direct violations of the Constitution.

read this letter. just read it. in any other presidency, this letter alone would trigger impeachment proceedings. this is a blatantly corrupt quid-pro-quo and the media should be covering this like watergate

Professor Donald Shoup died on February 6th. He has a strong claim on being the scholar who will have had the greatest impact on your day-to-day life by focusing on an impossibly boring problem that was completely neglected before him: where we park our cars. 🧵

I think Congestion Pricing is the first law passed in my 10 years in NYC that everyone who *lives in NYC* mostly agrees with and likes. There were simply too many cars and way too much traffic. It was unsustainable and congestion pricing actually worked and I hope it comes back.

Trump: “I am a king and I declare congestion pricing to be killed” MTA: “lol, no” three days later and the congestion relief zone is still in effect. we are winning and we will keep winning against the mad king
