A day when I reflect how much the world has changed. Almost 5 years to the day since I played my last game of cricket. Retirement to start a family. Today I watched live on YouTube someone who I played with for 10 years make a 50! Unsure if I would have liked seeing myself play?

As part of living with #axialSpA now includes being #glutenfree to help gut health and potential IBS. Eating out is depressing Sunday lunch for my wife’s birthday GF option is same price bit without Yorkshire pud, creamy leeks and no replacement! Also query gravy not being GF!

I marvel at times at how my body reacts to things. Day 5 of a terrible head cold, sinus pain, bunged up, hit head but took my temp again today and it was 35.5! Apparently my body goes hypothermic just another bonkers reaction from my #axialSpA

I know in #MyASjourney I have been incredibly lucky to have a roughly 4 year time to diagnosis for #axialSpA but others are not so lucky. The diagnosis is critical as it opens up treatments, support, work adjustments, benefits etc. #WorldArthritisDay2022 #WaitingCosts

Earlier today I had the pleasure of presenting in parliament to the All Party Parlimentary Group on axial SpA meeting on our impact report. I added my personal story as someone living with #axialSpA and went through the impact report.

Today dad you would have been 75, had you not lost your battle with a brain tumour / cancer only 18 months ago. Gone but you live on in our thoughts and memories.

Really critical call to action for everyone struggling with gut / digestive problems. Great to see another campaign focussed on ending delay to diagnosis.
