Count carbs, not calories!

You too can heal from decades of low-fat eating: Watch your ketones. Watch your waistline. Move. Eat whole foods.

NAFLD, unknown in before the 80s, now incidence rates are rising fast. Is it any wonder? Forcing people to eat grain-rich, low-fat, 10% sugar OK diet (looking at you ADA/AHA) is turning many into human foie gras.🪿

You might think reading some low-carb, keto, carnivore dieter accounts that you have to spend your life in a gym to feel better and get healthy. You don't need to spend your life in a gym. Just getting up off the couch and walking does wonders.

Weight is but one measure of metabolic health. Yet, twelve years of data doesn't lie: Where will I be in a week? PS: Can you tell when I switched to a low-carb diet and abandoned all the erroneous nutritional advice from the ADA/AHA/DGA? You don't have to look too closely.🔭

10 years ago today, I was at my bottom. I was miserable. Sick, depressed, 90+ lbs overweight, 7 Rx, drinking too much to self-medicate, and certain I didn't have that long to live. Which, wasn't a bad thing then. Things turned around within a couple months but I didn't know, yet.

It is only 21 years until the term "Mid-century modern" (1945 to 1969) will become confusing. Which century? 2045 from now is the same as 2003, looking back.

Farewell ŌURA v3. You won't hold a charge overnight. You don't count steps properly. Sleep graph spotty. Two rings in, and I've now retired them both. I upgraded to the v3 ring for pulse ox — which drained the battery every night, making it unusable.😡
