Not sure when it will be announced, but I expect Kevin Coggins to be named Associate Administrator of NASA fairly soon. This is the third-highest position at the agency behind Administrator and Deputy Admin.

I've seen a lot of shitty space policy over the years. However, a US Senator in a tough reelection fight trying to steal a space shuttle from the Smithsonian, and the NASA Administrator being all cloak and dagger about it, is among the shittiest. arstechnica.com/space/2025/08/…

Today, we mourn the loss of astronaut Jim Lovell. His bravery & leadership gave the nation some of our finest missions. His memory reminds us that true exploration isn’t just about reaching new frontiers, it’s also about how we navigate the unexpected. JIM LOVELL (1928 – 2025)

Big day for an author when the first edition of your book arrives in the mail. I hope you all will consider pre-ordering a copy (or two or three; it’ll make a great gift!). There are lots of great insights into SpaceX, Blue Origin and NASA. Many thanks!
