Today is Waterpower day in Ontario. Did you know that the first hydroelectric station in Almonte was built in 1890? Mississippi River Power is proud to carry on that tradition, generating clean, renewable power at our 4.6 MW Brian J. Gallagher hydroelectric station.

The dock will remain in Metcalfe GeoHeritage Park for a little while longer. Our staff have worked hard to keep the park looking it's best throughout what has been an extremely busy year in the park.
