One of the most tragic things about the high cost of living right now is, the absolute influx of people in hospital simply due to the inability to afford medication for their chronic conditions. When you can barely put food on the table, meds cease to be a priority.

Alcohol cravings last for about 15-20 minutes. If you can distract yourself with something healthy, you can get through one day in recovery. When I quit booze, intense cravings would come. Rock music was/is my therapy, calls to my mum or siz, or walking away. You can do this💪

Enyewe hamjui how mental illness symptoms can look like. But I get. Stigma means that families are secretive about these matters. This is how bad things can get. We should talk about it more tho. I think it’ll be easier to ask for support if there is less shame.
