Malawi, 2019: In a plot twist worthy of a movie, soldiers guarded protestors instead of attacking them. While other African states reached for tear gas, #Malawi’s military stood for principles. A quiet win for democracy — worth celebrating every day. 🇲🇼✊🏽 #PeoplePower

One year since the crash that silenced Saulos Chilima—a voice that called us not to remember, but to move. SKC didn’t want flowers or rituals. He wanted a #Malawi that works. Let’s not memorialize him. Let’s finish the conversation he started. linkedin.com/pulse/beyond-c…

Sometimes I wonder if our politicians notice the hunry foraging for scraps along the road while their V8 engines hum with entitlement. Or is it just background noise—the poor reduced to scenery in their long, televised parades of impotence? linkedin.com/pulse/why-i-ra… via LinkedIn

The @acbMalawi's list of upcoming court dates reads like an opposition party manifesto. But don't worry—this definitely proves it's not a Malawi Government🇲🇼 lapdog. Totally coincidental. Nothing to see here.

Interesting, this is. But I'm not sure how much this council can achieve in the three months between now and the elections: Chakwera Reconstitutes Private Sector Council to Spur Economic Transformation nyasatimes.com/chakwera-recon…

When you die, people won’t remember your jokes or your deep captions—they’ll remember your profile pic. That’s what they’ll screenshot for the “RIP 🕊️” post. So do yourself a favour: upload a fire profile pic now. Immortality is one good selfie away. You’re welcome (from beyond)

Dear #Malawi, this is the list—according to Malawi Electoral Commission—of those who’ve picked up nomination papers for the September elections. These are the brave men and women who believe they can lead us from poverty to the promised land (though no one has confirmed its coordinates).

How did we end up here—where the whole Director General of the state broadcaster MBC Malawi moonlights as a party praise poet? Public service or party service? When did the DG stop running a broadcaster and start running party errands? Asking for a country.

The US Ambassador to #Malawi has voiced what many are thinking: while Zuneth Sattar—accused of grand corruption—enjoys life, the justice system appears stuck. Funny how swift action is reserved for petty thieves, while alleged kingpins get immunity without the paperwork.

Tell that to the Lilongwe City Council please! 😭 Eh, Mayor of the City of Lilongwe, munakachitapo kanthu. I know they're cutting to make way for the roads but I would like to see replanting and efforts to take care of the trees so they don't die halfway afterwards chonde 🙏🏽

Some good news from Kasungu: Kamuzu Banda’s majestic rural home, Ngulu ya Nawambe, will finally be turned into a museum. Long overdue! Hopefully, this sparks more development & tourism in the area. Kudos to the family & the trustees. Next? Bingu's Casa Blanca Manor at Ndata 😎

As Zambia flirts with the idea of burying former President Edgar Lungu in exile, we’re reminded just how badly the continent needs presidential museums—not just to preserve history, but to rescue it from oblivion.linkedin.com/pulse/presiden… via LinkedIn

A Malawian owns this thing. It processes 200 tones of rice a day. Largest in Southern African, I am told. Supporting hundreds of farmers. Wishing more of these. Mtalimanja Rice Plan, owned by Napoleon Dzombe.

While politicians queue for wealth, we queue for maize, sugar & hope. The rescue train isn’t coming. But we are the train. From Patience Namadingo to Onjezani Kenani to Pemphero W Mphande Malawians are doing extraordinary things. Read. Reflect. Rise. #Malawi linkedin.com/pulse/governme…
