My direct, heartfelt appeal in today’s The Guardian to Wes Streeting & Keir Starmer in the light of yesterday's vote on AD. If you sincerely care about dying people, surely you will now publicly & urgently commit to proper funding for our threadbare palliative care?
Dear Wes Streeting, You said that part of the reason you couldn’t vote for the AD bill was the lack of adequate palliative care in the UK. You are the health secretary. Will you now pledge publicly & immediately to fix that? Or are dying people not enough of a priority?
