I can't imagine how much courage it must have taken Ethan Bear & his fiancé to make this statement. What a brave example of standing up for what is right and facing those who look to bully and oppress. Both of my kids will be watching this video and learning from him.

As we near the finish of another school year unlike any other, our Director of Education, John Bryant, has a final farewell message for our students, staff, and families. "It has been my immense honour and pleasure to serve you in this role...I know the #WRDSB is in good hands."

Teachers… 10 years from now, students will remember your kindness more than your pedagogy. Principals… 10 years from now, teachers will remember your kindness more than your strategic plan.

We have come to terms with the fact that no matter what decision we make - schools open vs. schools closed; synchronous vs. asynchronous; in-person learning vs. remote learning - it will never satisfy our entire community. All we hope for is kindness and that you are safe.
