Parenting’s so relentless it’s hard to feel great at it. But if your kids have the gift of a stable environment, if they feel safe with you & protected by you, if they hear from your lips & see from your actions they’re loved & they don’t often loathe you, YOU ARE A GREAT PARENT.

Sometimes we’re too close to something to see how messed up it is. Last week I was off socials for several days at an event. When I opened them back up, I saw how sick they were. Beyond sick. Dangerous. If we don’t stop, potentially deadly. It’s time for a backlash of civility.

I do not say this lightly or hastily but with fear & trembling after much deliberation. I think we are experiencing a divine reckoning in America. I don’t think the reckoning is over our having simply sinned. I think it’s over the fact that we have used God & the Bible to do it.

We can stall but we will not win in our opposition to God. He told us He opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. Our opposition right now is far bigger than powerful people. It’s far bigger than hell itself. I believe we’re fighting against God. This will not go well.

There are 3 things we must do & it is imperative that the church leads out: 1. We must humble ourselves. Our pride will absolutely be our downfall. 2. We must repent of our many grievous sins. 3. To the full extent of our power to do so, we must take action to right our wrongs.
