👀 St Andrew’s, #Letheringsett, #Norfolk Early #Medieval Round tower church. Pevsner Guides suggests an 11th Century date, because of herringbone flintwork, but a 14th Century top. Can you see the join? #SteepleSaturday

Minster church of St Cuthburga, Wimborne Minster, Dorset. The west tower is 95 ft high but lost its spire in a storm ca 1600. Dorset limestone and New Forest stone have been used to striking effect but without any discernible pattern. #SteepleSaturday

St James church, Kingston on the Isle of Purbeck. G. E. Street commissioned by 3rd Earl of Eldon in 1873. Purbeck limestone or Burr. Lovely stair turret shyly peeping out. #SteepleSaturday #Dorset

I'm always on the look out for Minton tiles designed by John Moyr Smith. This one, at Brecon museum, is from opera singer Adelina Patti's bedroom fireplace at Craig y Nos castle. #TilesonTuesday

Summer holidays and if you’re down near Thurlestone on the South Devon coast there’s a magical set of AJ Davies windows in the church… This is just one, The Flight Into Egypt with angels unable to help because God has chosen to be human alone
