Excited to announce the launching of a Special Issue on motor learning in social contexts in Journal of Motor Learning & Development that I am co-Editing with Nikki Hodges, April Karlinsky, and Matthew Scott . Please contact me for details if you are interested in contributing!


New accepted paper by Jin Bo from Eastern Michigan 🇺🇲& colleagues, who ran a 9-week motor development programme for children with autism finding greater motor learning in those with more pronounced social challenges, highlighting the role of social dynamics in motor development


New accepted paper by Phil Kearney, from PESS @ UL 🇮🇪, with Frank Nugent & Curran, who conducted a systematic review of manipulation checks in focus of attention research finding 53% did not use a manipulation check & they also provide seven suggestions for future research

New accepted paper by Margaux Hebinck from Université Laval 🇨🇦, with M. Labbé, M-D. Lavoie, K. Best, & M. Robert, who conducted a scoping review with 22 studies finding both process- & outcome-oriented measures report lower FMS proficiency in children with physical disabilities
