Wise child. This is the rationale for planned assignments to experience shame in avoidance reduction therapy for #stuttering. Intent and perceived control makes all the difference when approaching potentially painful/shameful situations. Kids can teach us all there is to know 👭🏽

Super proud of Nathan Mallipeddi. He has immense talents—but they are truly outmeasured by his enormous heart. Happy to be a part of bringing his bold vision to life. Onward, Myspeech

New name who dis? So excited for our org to continue on our path to build a bridge to enable PWS access to care. I have never done anything more healing in my life than devote myself to the stuttering community—and to making the journey easier for those who come behind me

We are humbled by and so appreciative of the kind words of support from President Donald J. Trump!!! It is truly a remarkable time for #PWS that our Commander+Chief has walked in our shoes + understands the barriers that face stutterers across the country, and indeed, around the world.

Thank you, President Donald J. Trump- what an honor! We know you're standing with us as we build a bridge to access (treatment, community, connection, belonging) for #PWS. Everyone has the right express themselves without fear of mockery/ridicule, and your perseverance as a PWS is an inspiration!!

Thank you Maya Proud Stutter for pioneering this work in SF and for guiding Steff and I through the process! Happy that both #denver and #boulder city councils made these proclamations to officially observe #isad in their cities!

🧵New article on early experiences with stuttering concealment. This is part of an ASHA journals forum that I am co-editing on resisting ableism in school speech therapy. The full forum will be available in Jan 2023 👀. Should out to my collaborators @DrEilidh & Kristel Kubart.
