Following the damaging M7.8 #earthquake hit southern Turkey near the Syrian border earlier this morning. Extensive damage is highly likely pending field assessments. #RedCross and #RedCrescent teams are on high alert and responding. Our hearts go out to those affected.

The Syrian Red Crescent continues to rescue and provide first aid to the affected people after the building collapses in the cities of #Hama, #Aleppo, and #Lattakia due to the recent earthquake. 237 casualties, more than 600 wounded, and major damages till now.
