Two Level 5s, two different levels of reaction by the public. The #StayHome message is being taken much more seriously this time compared to November.

COVID-19 Actuaries Response Group If you'd told me 12 months ago that I'd be following actuaries - !ACTUARIES! - on Twitter, I'd have assumed you'd been hitting the cooking sherry a bit hard.

A major issue with Covid is its externalities: the actions of the young (<65) are most heavily felt by the old (65+) Restrictions have enormous cost, why bother? Gandhi sums it nicely: the true measure of any society can be found in how it treats its most vulnerable members.

HSE Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HPSC) Can you *please* go back to publishing daily reports (like hpsc.ie/a-z/respirator…)? Just a summary containing tables 1, 4, 5, 7 and 8 would be fine. Even better: make this available as a .csv Very important info has been lost to the public since you stopped. @RiochtConor2
