ChatGPT can read and render content in accordions and behind tabs, but not content that requires user interaction to load. h/t Aleyda Solis ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ and her great AI marketing newsletter. getaiso.com/blog/ai_retrieโ€ฆ

After seeing @viperchill's post earlier about Wiki analytics being public I had some questions about what happened to Wikipedia when ChatGPT and AIOs launched. Wiki traffic actually went up post ChatGPT launch, but has been trending downward since the launch of AIOs.

If removing ?num=100 really generated this swing, scrapers were hitting Google a LOT harder than I thought. This is aggregate clicks and impressions data for some of my biggest clients. Look at the drop starting September 9:

I crashed Gianluca Fiorelli's podcast and talked about chunking, why we can't use maps anymore, and why SEO is dead. OK, I didn't say that last part. But I made ya look. advancedwebranking.com/blog/build-valโ€ฆ

AI can't do content audits, OK? You CAN build a pretty nifty assistant, though, that helps you do audits better. I built one using Claude, ScreamingFrog, Zapier, and Google Sheets. You can read how (and how AI drives me nuts) here: ianlurie.com/content/audit-โ€ฆ
