Very sorry to see the news about Glenys Kinnock’s death. It was a privilege to get the chance to work alongside her at Welsh Labour in the late 1990s. She was tough but fair, funny, hard-working and always impressive. My condolences to Neil, Stephen and Rachel. RIP, Glenys.

So sorry to hear that David Hill has died. Few people gave as much as he did to the Labour Party over many decades. He was as solid and reliable as they come and his wisdom and expertise were of immense value to me, both when I was a journalist. and when we were close colleagues

Tribute rightly paid at today’s Cabinet meeting to David Hill by Keir Starmer. David was a consummate professional comms director. Respected by journalists across the board. He taught me and many of my generation a huge amount. Sincere condolences to Hilary and family. 🌹
