Germany spends 30% more on healthcare than the UK, it has proportional representation and two elected Parliaments and is a member of the EU. Not to mention it has a Green Party in government. So do I want the UK to be more like Germany? You bet!

Yesterday we refuelled our hire car in Majorca. We only wanted €20 worth of fuel, but the counter stopped at €22.20. When we queried why this had happened, we were told that the extra €2 of fuel was free fuel from Spanish Government to help people with the fuel crisis! Wow!
