Finally out! Congrats! AndHR Silvia Jimeno Pedro M. Martínez García José Terrón-Bautista J. Lieberman and G. Millán Hope we contribute to the idea of supercoiling as a key regulator of genome metabolism, and not just a side-product of DNA transactions. More to come ... cell.com/cell-reports/f…

New paper with Goran Kokic and Jesper Svejstrup Laboratory in Cell Press! We show that STK19 facilitates the clearance of lesion-stalled RNAPII during transcription-coupled DNA repair. Great teamwork by diana van den heuvel , Marta Rodríguez-Martínez, Paula van der Meer! cell.com/cell/fulltext/… 1/6

PhD position available in the Jones lab! warwick.ac.uk/fac/cross_fac/… MIBTP programme. Understanding how DNA replication and the nuclear membrane deteriorate with age. With Zita Balklava Aston University Application deadline 16th Jan 2025

🧬 I'm happy to announce that our latest study, "ATR safeguards replication forks against APOBEC3B-induced toxic PARP1 trapping," is now available on bioRxiv! 🧬 Check it out here: biorxiv.org/content/10.110… UC Irvine Rémi Buisson Ambrocio Sanchez Abby Green 🧵🧵🧵

Whilst it is not related to DNA repair or replication, an interesting study I was peripherally involved in is out now Journal of Experimental Medicine. Dominant mutations in ITPR3 cause combined immunodeficiency in humans. Congrats to Alexandra Kreins, the lead PI of this study. rupress.org/jem/article/22…

Awesome paper from Steve Jackson Lab and Johannes Walter about USP37 and TRAIP regulating the replication response to topoisomerase inhibitors. Glad to be a part of it. nature.com/articles/s4146…

A transcription balance required for genome stability 🧬⚖️ Our work on RNA Pol II transcription speed control by the DNA helicase RECQL5 and the transcription-coupled DNA repair complex is now on NatureStructMolBiol #CryoEM #transcription nature.com/articles/s4159…
