Despite the events yesterday in #Kharkiv, FSD's work in #Ukraine continues. Today, thanks to the support of our colleagues from Handicap International - Humanity & Inclusion, our teams delivered a risk education session in the province of Kharkiv. This project is supported by World Food Programme and Food and Agriculture Organization.
We are pleased to announce that the 🇬🇧 Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office will support our #mineaction programme in #Tajikistan. Through risk education and land release activities, FSD will contribute to mitigate the socio-economic impact of explosive devices along the Tajik-Kyrgyz border.
Despite July's hot weather, FSD's teams in #Iraq continued to carry out their #mineaction efforts. Today, Angela De Santis, FSD's Deputy Head of Operations, took part in the Convention on #CCW Protocol V Experts Meeting. She presented FSD's programme in #Afghanistan, emphasizing the effort to transition individuals from victim to survivor & the challenges of #victimassistance.
In Mindanao, #Philippines, where contamination from explosive devices is widespread, FSD is providing risk #education sessions in villages and #schools. This week, at the Convention on #CCW Amended Protocol II Group of Experts Meeting, Angela De Santis, FSD's Deputy Head of Ops, presented FSD's risk education operations on Mindanao Island, #Philippines. She stressed the importance of tailoring #EORE sessions to the local context.
