The two-child limit is unjust and causes untold harm to the nation's children. Institute for Fiscal Studies estimates that scrapping it would cost the equivalent of just 3% of the total working-age benefit budget. It's a small price to pay for justice and compassion. heraldscotland.com/politics/westm…

In May this year we lost my father in law, Pat, to bowel cancer, only 9 months after his diagnosis. My son Logan and I are taking part in the Cancer Research UK Shine Night Walk in Glasgow tomorrow in memory of him 💛 Any donation is hugely appreciated. fundraise.cancerresearchuk.org/team/granda-pa…

These narratives are so exhausting & exist to both justify inequalities whilst positioning the working-class as stupid, uncultured & undeserving. So let’s take this example of ‘the seaside is free’ as an option for a family day out for a single mother of 3 kids from London.

First Minister is right to make child poverty the ‘first priority’ in his Programme for Government, but more investment is needed. Read John Dickie's response to Scottish Government's #PfG cpag.org.uk/news/first-min…

Reported cuts to disability support risk undermining wider government efforts to reduce child poverty: - 870,000 children live in families receiving PIP - 290,000 of these children are already in poverty More here: cpag.org.uk/news/cuts-disa…

The PM’s vital commitment to improved living standards for all would be shattered if disabled people are left behind. Children in a household where someone has a disability already have a higher risk of poverty & further cuts would only make life harder for many of these families
