The IMT has responded to numerous national emergencies and have specialized training in incident command, rescue operations, logistics, and planning. The #FDNY is proud to assist the people of North Carolina who have been impacted by this disaster.

The FDNY IMT continues to assist with the recovery efforts from Hurricane Helene's impacts on Asheville, NC. The IMT is working out of Buncombe County, where the team is now focused on managing the distribution points for food and water, shelters and community reception centers.

The FDNY Incident Management Team has taken command of the Hawthorne Drive Fire in Berlin, Connecticut working along side our counterparts in DEEP. Please see our Facebook and Instagram posts for further information. This marks our fifth team activation this year.

Recently, the Planning Section of the FDNY Incident Management Team completed a FEMA L965 Resource Unit Leader class. The purpose of this course is to provide the members with an overview on Resource Unit Leader responsibilities. For more information refer to our Facebook page.
