A huge congratulations to our super gymnast Polina who won a Silver medal at the National Gymnastics Tumbling finals held in Stoke on Trent on Wednesday. She competed against 23 other gymnasts and performed 3 excellent tumbling routines! Congratulations Polina! 🙌🙌👌

Yesterday LEH School netballers enjoyed a fantastic day at Langa Township in Cape Town. To start the day they did a walking tour with two resident guides. This was very informative and the students learnt a lot about the history and culture of the township #SouthAfrica #tour

The students also visited a local artist in the township named Didi - they had the opportunity to watch him work as well as purchase some of his amazing pictures 🎨

Sheila’s restaurant was next on the agenda for lunch. We were treated to some fantastic music & singing by the resident band and also fabulous food made by Sheila and her staff! The students had a thoroughly entertaining experience and had the chance to play the instruments 😊🙌

In the afternoon, the teams played against various clubs/schools from Langa. They were great competition and our teams played some brilliant netball against them. A thoroughly enjoyable day had by all. New friends made too! 😊 #SouthAfrica #tour

Today we have had a fun day at Total Ninja and the V&A waterfront (shopping😊) - unfortunately weather stopped play/matches 😔 The students had a fab day and used up their energy running up ramps and climbing across monkey bars! LEH School #tourfun

On Sunday morning we had our 1st taste of the Netball World Cup matches. We watched Australia v Fuji and New Zealand v Singapore. Both games were great to watch and the students managed to get autographs and photos with some of the players. It was also great to see Pamela Cookey

Having watched the World Cup in the morning and gained some inspiration @lehschoolofficial took to the courts themselves to play the Red Tigers from Langa and Springfield school. They were competitive matches with one win and two losses for our teams. 3 great matches overall 😊🙌

Sadly our Robben Island trip was cancelled due to bad weather so we had a bus tour around the Cape. We drove up to Signal Hill and around to Camps Bay. We had some lovely views of the coast line and Table Mountain #SouthAfrica #CapeTown #tour

As we prepare for Y13 & Y11 results. It is important to pause & reflect on what these cohorts have endured, during KS3 & KS4, when knowing more & remembering more, matters. Their schooling certainly suffered, they didn’t experience normal times but will receive ‘normal’ results.
