On #WorldAIDSDay 35, we remember & commit to realizing a world without AIDS and HIV-related stigma. Despite progress in scaling access to ART for people living with HIV, HIV-related deaths remain unacceptably high in low-resource communities globally. #RocktheRibbon to end AIDS.

Dr. Cuauhtémoc Ruiz-Matus was kind, generous with his smile, an incredible partner & #globalhealth leader. As PAHO/WHO Comprehensive Family Immunization Unit Head, he understood elimination goals required programs rooted in the community & empowered families. He will be missed.

It's been an inspiring Conference of the #G20 National Public Health Institutes in Brazil. The panel I chaired focused on #NPHIs' domestic preparedness and response plans. My thanks to @CDCglobal Dr. Laserson, Rwanda Biomedical Centre Prof. Muvunyi, & Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) Dr. Indar for robust discussion.
