I have long held that PGAs don’t cause CME & that many glaucoma patients lose vision while being denied a PGA despite PGAs A+efficacy. Turns out PGAs have the lowest risk of causing CME. Thank you Dr. Zhou et al for this A+ paper. Let’s let dogma go. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/39122155/#:~:t…).

Subhyaloid hemorrhage in macular area refers to a collection of blood between the posterior vitreous surface and the retina, specifically in the macula, the central part of the retina responsible for sharp, detailed vision. This condition can lead to sudden & severe visual loss.

Central serous chorioretinopathy, where fluid builds up under retina. This can distort vision. The fluid leakage comes from a layer of tissue under retina, called  choroid. When RPE does not work, fluid builds up under RPE resulting in a small detachment and visual distortion.
