Very good jobs report. Big takeaway: stronger than expected economy means Fed will cut 25 bps at Nov/Dec meetings and then pause. This pushes out the pace of cuts and increases odds of fewer cuts than expected.

Pension funds have an inherent asset:liability mismatch because they're investing assets for the long-term, but have short-term outflows to pensioners. It would never be appropriate IMO to benchmark a pension fund to the S&P 500, which is an inherently long-term instrument,
