As shielding eases, you may be starting to go out more. This can bring fear & worry - remember it is normal to feel like this. Start slow, take your time, and build up your distances gradually. Be proud of what you achieve- every little movement helps! #withPHYSIOyouCAN

Occupational Therapy can help you maintain independence in the activities that are important to you; this could be getting dressed, engaging in hobbies or accessing your local community. Your GP can help signpost to your local Occuaptional Therapy Service #dementia #withOTuCAN

Very busy day for the group. First up, we had our weekly "Feel Good Friday" group and this was then followed up by a catch up with @HenryAlzScot and JPearson. Thank you to all our members who took part in an extremely productive set of meetings! #mantainingconnections Alzheimer Scotland

Great to have attended this meeting, giving input from SDWG member Henry Rankin and to hear about the work being done supporting the workforce with continued training and support through the pandemic and we look forward to continuing to work together.

Tomorrow the group will be taking part in their first piece of work in 2021. We will be reviewing the script for an animation that looks to train healthcare staff on how to communicate effectively with people living with dementia. Excited to be #supportingworkforcedevelopment.

A fantastic turn out today as SDWG members gave feedback on the script for an upcoming animation which will be used as a training tool for health professionals. This animation looks at "Altered Reality" and the impact this can have on a person living with dementia.
