So beyond appreciative to begin a new chapter in my professional life as the Chief of Police for the City Of Newburgh, NY Thank you to City Manager Todd Venning, Mayor Torrance Harvey and the City Council for giving me the opportunity to serve a city that shares my vision.

Today is National Dog Day and as such I wanted to introduce you to one of our K9’s. K9 Bane is one of four teams we have here at City of Newburgh Police Department who stopped by my office this week to play tug of war.

Today we said goodbye to Officer Batiste Tucker who enters retirement. He faithfully served City of Newburgh Police Department for nearly two decades and the US Air Force for 25 years! As I am sad to see him leave, I wish Officer Tucker and his family the best in his retirement.

Outstanding team effort this week between Patrol, Investigations, and K9! Kudos to Detective Denoulin, Detective Alonzo, Officer Salazar, Officer Layne and his partner Dutch.

Active crime scene in the area of Hasbrouck st and William st. Officers responded to a call for shots fired just prior to 11:30 am and located 2 gunshot victims who were transported to St Luke’s. Victims conditions are unknown at this time.
