We have confirmed an EF-0 tornado in the Wedgefield/Shaw AFB area and an EF-1 tornado southwest of Orangeburg near Cordova. More details will be available tmrw. We still have additional surveys to complete. Thanks for your patience as we work our way through this complex event.

The Congaree at Columbia is now forecast to reach Major flood stage late tonight & crest at 31.0 feet early tomorrow afternoon. This crest is near the 2015 value of 31.8 feet. Interests near the river need to take necessary actions including along the Broad river. #Helene #scwx

We were trapped in Lake Lure near #Asheville this weekend with three kids, no power, no phone service and a dwindling food supply. We only got out because some amazing souls led us through backroads for two hours to help us get to a freeway before that route flooded over
