What a sad day, Canucks legend Jim Robson has passed away. We only had a Canucks game of the week on TV in the 80’s, it was Jim and my radio. Nobody described a game better. Simply the best there ever was.

Another giant lost in Jim Robson. Wonderful man, kind, a true gentleman, and the gold standard behind the mic. A huge part of Canucks (and NHL) history. RIP, Jim.

In Alberta, oil profits mostly go to private companies. In Norway, oil profits go straight into the government's sovereign wealth fund, invested to benefit every citizen. You can thank Harper Conservatives for Alberta not doing the same. You're welcome

Very true, but he's not wrong, the entire country was mentally exhausted of JT. However with that being said, Jeff Poillevre is a malignant hemmoroid that has been throbbing in Parliament's ass for 20+yrs.

For the last 10 years (people seem to focus on that period for some reason), AB population grew at an average of 1.93%. Ten years ending 2015 saw an average of 2.21%. Ten years ending 2005 averaged 2%. Back further, ten years ending 1980 was 3.32%.

Over the last 5 years, AB grew at at an average rate of 2.7%. Comparable to 2003-2008 (2.5%), 1975-1980 (4%), 1966-71 (2.6%). 2024 was, unquestionably a big jump (4.3%), but it's also comparable to 1971 (4.3%), 1953 (4.4%), 1980 (4.6%), and even 2005 (3.2%).

To double Alberta's population to 10 million people by 2050, as Danielle Smith set as her goal, we would need 2.7% growth on average from 2025 to 2050 or...wait for it...exactly what we've had for the last 5 years.
