I can’t believe Culver City is threatening to remove #MoveCulverCity, it’s a freaking awesome project that I hope to use more especially as I use transit more to get to and from work! If they remove it and turn Washington into a car sewer again, my money won’t be spent in Culver!

Loved seeing everyone show up for #MOVECulverCity tonight! Such a big turnout! And loved hearing all the supportive comments during the city council meeting 💖🤗🚲🚌

My video proves two facts about #MoveCulverCity… 1) Flying past car traffic on your bike is pure joy. 2) The horrible car traffic here is caused by the four-way intersection ahead and rush-hour demand, not the bus lane.

@AlexFischCC Per the video, if the new majority Council removes #MoveCulverCity, Culver City will be "the first American city to have re-pedestrianized the corridor and then give it back to cars." That's the legacy they want to leave? How embarrassing.

Griffith Park Drive - one of LAs only car free spaces created in decades (sunset triangle plaza one of the others) Gets repaved in what is essentially car infrastructure. Why would a car free street need any of this?

No, CA state law does not say that people on bikes should “should ride as close as possible to the edge of the roadway”. The actual text is provided below. Citing the law incompletely & incorrectly is misinformation & contributes to the dangerous status quo on our roadways.

Most lanes in Oakland are not wide enough for a car & bike to share safely side by side (usually requires 14-15’, Oakland’s lanes are mostly 10-12’). If a driver sees person on a bike away from the right side, they should assume they are there for a reason & pass slowly/safely.

When cars illegally park in the bike lane, they risk having their mirrors broken off by the bike handlebars. Be careful. You definitely do not want your handlebars to knock off/break the car mirror. tiktok.com/t/ZTRosfpAK/

I think Figueroa between Flower and Exposition has been consistently the worst with cars blocking bike lanes. But maybe they’ve changed something recently.
