Read David Graeber "Depth" - there are many similar points to Robert in "Schwarzbuch Kapitalismus" that was published in 2012, I don't know if it was translated. The main difference seems to me that Graeber does not include a categorical perspective on capitalism...

...categorical means in Kurz' sense that there is a level of critique apart from the invididual level, the "beautiful machine" as Kurz would call it, where capitalism replicates itself unbeknownst to the individual. Capitalism is not only what individuals do concretly.

To be found - a political / philosophical theory that directly links the agricultural revolution 10'000 years ago with the foundations of capitalism as we know it. Neither Marx nor Kurz or Graeber make sense without the notion of privat property.

Privat property is absurd with hunter / gatherers... we can not go back to these times...maybe we can learn from it? Limited, sustainable use of nature ? No accumulation ? Can we initiate a societal change again..this time consciously?

Hunter & gatherers had limited privat property, a spear maybe, a fur, some other tools, and mainly it was not fixed like an agricultural area. Abstraction, mathematics took off with the agricultural revolution, a "fixed world" phenomenon. The domination of nature started there.

Yes, but what IS the system exactly ? Is it the individual actions of people or is it some underlying structure that replicates itself out of view of the individual ? In the worst case: the individual action seems right, but only supports categorical system...

Startuppers are the conquistadores of the modern age (Graeber): they virtually risk their lifes discovering new lands and new innovations for capitalism with the money from laid-back financiers - just to be thrown - most of the time - unto the the trash heap of failed innovation.

Starting to read Polanyi's "The great transformation: The Political and Economic Origins of Our Time". Very curious ;-) - an author always quoted, but seldom read, I think. Ideas will be shared here, comments and experiences very welcom #capitalism
