A pleasure to explore Moor Barton Rewilding near Dartmoor today with owner Robin & ecologist Josh - meeting ‘old man willow’, being bowled over by veteran hazel trees & seeing exceptional hazel gloves fungi (thanks to Bernoid⁩ for the tip-off!)

only found one before so didn't rate my chances of finding a Sundew Plume Buckleria paludum caterpillar high but on the first plant was one! I searched about 50 more plants but no more found. South Devon. These amazing caterpillars feed exclusively on this insect eating plant.

Observing a few moths. Documented almost 600 species over 4 nights, excluding other invertebrates that I spent time with.

Meshed jacket was to prevent the moths from getting into my eyes, nose and ears.
