I think we need to face the fact that right across Europe the baby boomer generation is reaching the point of needing healthcare/social care and the estate & infrastructure are simply not up to it. This isn’t ‘unproductive staff’ it’s underinvestment & demographics in action.

Fewer beds, and 50-69 year olds removed from the national flu vaccination programme entirely Oh, and vaccines delayed until October Is this contributing?

The hypocrisy that exists within the health system at the moment is staggering “You can’t replace any profession with lesser trained people” Doctors in the #NHS: “When you say ‘any’..” “Shut up and respect multidisciplinary working” And we wonder.. Why are doctors so angry.

Dr Sandeep Bansal Devan Sinha That would not surprise me. The fact that every ED in the country has patients in corridors shows how the politicians have absolutely destroyed the NHS. It is deliberate, and the public need to understand why this is happening. It is nothing to do with the staff.

It's Monday morning and I'm the only GP in the building (due to leave and sickness). Usually, we have 2-3 GPs. Five years ago, there would have been 5 GPs on a Monday morning. Ten years ago, there would have been 8. I wish we had the resources to hire these GPs.

The Resident Doctors have been branded juvenile delinquents, moaning Minnie’s, out of touch with our grassroots With an overwhelming 83% no vote on an 65% turnout these claims are put to bed for good Wes Streeting the ball is in your court

Better pay has become the demand to compensate for a multitude of other issues (govnt fuck ups) that RDs face. Role substitution. Training bottlenecks. Astronomical student debt. Unemployment. Unmanageable workloads. Rota gaps. Poor infrastructure.

And what inflation figure is used to calculate our student loans (some in excess of £100,000)? That's right, RPI. If it's good enough to calculate how they take our money, it's good enough to use for calculating our pay.

Add it up… You wait 12 hours in A&E to see a doctor You wait six months to see a specialist doctor… You wait a year to get your operation by a doctor Yet, hundreds of British trained, qualified doctors can’t get a job!!!! It doesn’t add up, does it?

Multi year pay deal ? Reduce student loan burden if >5 year service to NHS (for all healthcare professionals with a loan. Giving you more take home pay without actually giving a payrise?

In the U.K., if you earn £148k, you earn LESS, after tax, than if you earn £99.99k This is no joke. Here’s why Going over £100k earnings mean losing access to tax-free childcare & personal allowance The marginal cost of a £1k payrise from £99k to £100k is almost £20k. If
