Changing the current take-make-waste business models that create massive issues for people and environment requires academics, policymakers, & industries to come together. Yesterday’s discussion was very insightful & encouraging as an academic.

If it is safe to do it wherever you live, please try this challenge. Instead of driving this month, join me in walking, cycling, or taking public transport for the equivalent of a marathon to help BreatheLife back into our cities. breathelife2030.org/challenge

Loved being a part of the The Science Basement podcast hosted by Sujai Banerji and Rhiannon Newman. We chatted about textile waste, the social and environmental impacts of its management, the role of researchers/ consumers/ policymakers, and the need for reducing consumption.

Somewhere between hubris & humility lies the Goldilocks zone where papers are published that one is excited to share. This paper is one of those! Also, huge thanks to the reviewers coz for once every round of revision just seemed to make the paper better. sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

This is a detailed thread on what happened at NEET 2024. While national election results were keeping everyone distracted, they published the results & expected to get away with major manipulation. These are medical entrance tests, lives will depend on these students!

I have witnessed this in every conference, research project, and site work. EU is probably the worst when it comes to denying visa to researchers. Most conference organisers have zero idea of the time and effort it takes for people to get these documents and the money wasted.
