After a read aloud of “The Proudest Blue”, 5th grdrs are having conversations, adding their reader responses to slides about the story and about their connections to identity. This book is on our district’s “Reading Rocks” booklist this year! Ambrose School
Authorfest began today & got off to a great start w/ the amazing Scott Magoon! He talked to 1st grdrs about being an author/illustrator & taught us how to draw a shark from his book “Misunderstood Shark”. Thank you WFEE Scott Magoon for a fun event! Ambrose School
Thank you WFEE for bringing Anna Alter to K Ss for virtual Authorfest! Anna Alter told us all the steps of making a book & she shared how she started writing & illustrating at a very young age. We also learned how to draw some of her characters! Ambrose School We had fun!

Great day in the library for our Kindergarten students with a visit from author&illustrator Jarrett Lerner ! He taught us how to draw w/shapes,lines,letters and how to write a great story! K Ss and adults all loved it! Ambrose School

K Ss are practicing reading nonfiction! They r reading the pictures, asking questions, and finding special words about their topic! They added a cover pic of themselves reading to create their own “I can read nonfiction “ book! Good work K! Ambrose School
Ss are making wishlists for our annual book fair, and then enjoying reading the library books they checked out. It’s also pajama day for this class! Another great day in the library! Ambrose School
5th grd Ss are thinking about their reading past & present & noticing how they have grown as readers. They're getting ready for the Letters About Literature project & will write to authors about a book that had an impact on them. We're off to a great start! Mass Center for the Book
