Been thinking about Max and the week he's having. Max is relatable because his career has had a crazy arc. He's gone from not even being able to keep his card to being a top 15 player in the wold and a Ryder Cup star in six years. That's a fun and interesting narrative. But

I think Rory has a serious case at all four majors this season. He’s going to win the PGA (if he’s locked back in following this win). The treeless Oakmont plays into his game. And then the final leg? Northern Ireland. His homeland.

I am a sucker for moments like these. A reminder that it’s OK to hope. To care. To hurt. And to believe.

Man, I just don't think we'll ever see another golf day quite like this one. The stakes, the mistakes, the heroics, the swings, the way Rory kept toggling between triumph and tragedy...it was the best of sports. Absolutely exhausting to watch. Exhilarating, too. What a week.
