I'm Akosua, a #PhD Candidate on a #RacialJustice Placement at the Museum. I'm researching anti-fertility botanicals used by enslaved African women, focusing on Okra from Sloane's collection. Okra was used to manage fertility, helping to dismantle slavery and inform modern uses.
