Great week working with modellers, biologists, ecologists, economists, sociologists & other marine scientists in the multidisciplinary WKWIND ICES. Super interesting discussions and - though new to many participants - common ground in the Social-Ecological Systems framework.

Invasives like blue crab are impacting ecosystems & fishing livelihoods in the #Mediterranean , where they are reducing the Italian eel fishery by 20,000 kgs a year. Climate change is set to make the situation worse, could a blue crab market be the answer? loom.ly/PF53kHE
