I refuse to be a thespian in the Speaker’s failure theater. The 6 month continuing resolution with the SAVE Act attached is an insult to Americans’ intelligence. The CR doesn’t cut spending, and the shiny object attached to it will be dropped like a hot potato before passage.

Today we will vote on a continuing resolution that will fund all of government in one bill and doesn’t cut one penny. I spoke on the House floor this morning to urge my colleagues not to participate in this unserious and insincere political theater.

This evening, I described how the Speaker is using the CR to set up a government funding crisis the week before Christmas. Why Christmas? So he can pressure Members to vote for a bill they haven’t read, by using their desire to see their families on Christmas Eve against them.

Most people don't realize they want to KEEP Daylight Savings Time and ELIMINATE Standard Time. Standard Time is what we are using now, where it gets dark extremely early. Daylight Savings Time is what we use in Spring/Summer where it is lighter later. KEEP DAYLIGHT SAVINGS!!!
