7 carjackings in DC last night. 21 in the past week. 821 to date this year. DC Council holding hrg tomorrow on violence interruption programs, programs that aren’t working.

Isn't it ironic:
20+ yrs ago I moved to 300 block of C. The U.S. Capitol Police always said area was very safe, but don't go past 6th St. Now, armed robbery common in shadow of our Capitol.

Also, after 15 years of feeling safe in Hill East, I don't anymore.

This House speaker situation would have never happened if Tortilla Coast and Cap Lounge were still around.
