Intersession Day 1. Poetry, Snowball Synonym Match, Tic Tac Toe Math, Author’s Purpose Horse Sculptures… Lots of fun learning in 3rd grade. Patlan Elementary

READ BAKE SHARE 3rd graders baking cookies for the Guadalupe Humane Society. Students also learned about being a responsible pet owner, made a yearly pet budget, printed flyers of pets that needed homes, and collected items to donate.Patlan Elementary
READ BAKE SHARE 3rd grade and Student Council visited the Guadalupe Humane Society. We dropped off donations, got a tour, and spent time reading/visiting animals. Patlan Elementary
Patlan 3rd grade READ BAKE SHARE delivered Thunder Cakes to GBRA. Students got a tour,learned about water samples,viewed water under microscopes, watched an elephant toothpaste experiment, and reviewed the water cycle. Thank you GBRA and Seguin Education Foundation. Patlan Elementary
Patlan 3rd grade READ BAKE SHARE students read Everybody Bakes Bread, learned how important our neighbors are to us, and that neighbors come from many backgrounds. Students then baked Coconut Bread and wrote kind letters for our neighbors at Patlan. Patlan Elementary
3rd grade READ BAKE SHARE read Horses and The Tortilla Factory. Students learned facts about horses, created a budget, researched Meadow Haven Horse Rescue, and learned about growing corn for tortillas. Students then baked enchiladas for Meadow Haven and families. Patlan Elementary
Patlan 3rd graders have been busy these last two weeks! Awards, Witte Museum, Field Day, and Author’s Tea. An amazing group of students that have worked hard all year. Patlan Elementary

Patlan 4th Graders had a great time visiting the Alamo, San Jose Mission, and Hemisfair Park. Patlan Elementary
Patlan 4th graders wrote and published books. We celebrated with an Author’s Tea! Patlan Elementary
ACE Summer Camp is going well! 4th/5th Read, Bake, Share students made a horse budget, researched horses, baked carrot cakes for volunteers, and spent time at Meadow Haven Horse Rescue. Students also enjoy STEAM activities. Seguin ISD
ACE Summer Camp Week 2: 4th and 5th students baked and delivered cranberry bread to the residents at Nesbit Nursing Home. Students also took a tour and played camping bingo with residents. Seguin ISD
ACE Summer Camp Week 3: 4th and 5th grade students baked and delivered dog cakes to the dogs at Guadalupe Humane Society. Students also took a tour and read books to the cats, Seguin ISD
ACE students researched community helpers, baked cookies, and delivered the cookies to the Seguin public library staff. Students took a tour and rotated through space stations. Seguin ISD
Patlan 4th Graders visited Nesbit Nursing Home as part of our READ, BAKE, SHARE grant. Students delivered cranberry bread and took a tour. They spent time with residents making a Winter craft and playing holiday bingo, Patlan Elementary Seguin ISD
READ BAKE SHARE 4th grade Patlan students learned the importance of being a responsible pet owner. Students then baked dog treats for the Humane Society, delivered items, and spent time with the dogs and cats. Patlan Elementary Seguin ISD
