Britain is a country that willingly exchanged growth for a nebulous concept of “taking back control”, so your comments do not surprise me. And the loss of national economic growth continues to be denied, because it would be “un democratic” to challenge Brexit.

The right to return migrants was one of the many that we gave up when we left the EU - why should we get it back now we are no longer a member? #BrexitBenefits

We have up that deal with #Brexit - why should the EU give us any special treatment now? We are a third country because of (your) Brexit.

No - why would it be compulsory?Don’t get too attached to this flag- it will have to change if the Scots get their independence!

With all the extremist comments around about the impact that immigration has on the UK, it is good, at last, to have some well-thought through, sensible views on the significant benefits to this country.

Darren, If you are right, the answer is not to pass unilateral laws in the UK. The issue is a global one and needs to be solved on a global basis. Morally, we in the UK have a duty to do our share to help and not try to push the problem back on the nearest “safe” country.

You are wrong. I am a traditional Tory voter (pre 2016) and I will now vote for anyone who can get rid of the Tories (except Reform!) That is LibDem in my constituency.

The sentencing is for attacking police, damaging property and similar thuggish behaviour and is entirely appropriate. Well done Sir Kier Starmer for standing up for the rule of law!

The UK is trying to fix the damage done to it by 14 years of Tory rule. It will take time to fix, but don’t you worry about us. It is nothing to the damage that will be done by the orange criminal if you elect him as president in the US.

Why on earth would we want to give up all these rights and protections? Because we trust our successive governments to act in our best interests? You must be bonkers after the last few administrations!

Product looked good, but ultimately you invest in people and the founder seemed unstable to me - I would not have invested.

It was appalling. Trump just wants a peace agreement for his legacy and does not care how he gets it. China will see Putin winning and decide they can get away with invading Taiwan. That will not be good for the US and Trump will not be able to do to stop it.
