I've sent a letter seeking a correction in a paper about cost utility of an intervention for functional motor disorder: virology.ws/2025/05/13/tri…

Even other academics dislike that Norwegian trial claiming great results for a very short Long Covid rehab program. Primary outcome results were below the threshold deemed clinically significant--but they claimed success anyway!!! virology.ws/2025/05/15/tri…

Yes, I think that was early in the pandemic, when he also cited the PACE trial as evidence of, you know, something or other.

The BMJ's recent propaganda piece about severe ME/CFS hijacked Maeve Boothby O'Neill's death to bolster its arguments. The lead author of the piece did that last summer as well: virology.ws/2025/05/21/tri…

BMJ has long been biased in its perspective on ME and ME/CFS, so the journal's recent propaganda piece is not a surprise: virology.ws/2025/05/24/tri…

I’m interested in funding research focused on the mechanisms and findings of this poster and their potential role in ME/CFS. It showed microvascular abnormalities, including reduced capillarization and thickened basement membranes. These findings could suggest a vascular basis

In the 1950s, Curt Richter ran a cruel experiment: he dropped rats into deep jars of water. Left alone, they drowned within minutes. But if he pulled them out just before they gave up, dried them, let them rest, then dropped them back in- they swam for hours. Up to 60. Why?

This piece in Open Mind discusses how the adherents of CBT/GET for ME have sought to extend their purview to Long Covid, with the same sort of shifty methodological maneuvers: openmindmag.org/articles/going…

Exactly. I mean, really--the idea that how much you move is completely unrelated to the construct of "fatigue" is ridiculous and a non-starter. It also contradicts previous statements by Knoop.
